Vulnerability 2025 Conference

Responding to the FCA review in partnership with Collaboration Network

On 2nd April 2025, the Money Advice Trust hosted our very first Vulnerability Conference. Hosted by Shoosmiths and delivered in partnership with Collaboration Network, the event brought together colleagues across the financial services sector to discuss the implications of the Financial Conduct Authority’s recent review of firms’ treatment of customers in vulnerable circumstances.

The conference blended keynote speakers, group discussions and practical workshops. Participants drawn from financial services, lived experience backgrounds, and other key sectors drew out key themes such as embedding inclusion, how to build role relevant training and measuring outcomes as key areas for improvement for firms.

One of the key outtakes from the day was that following the FCA’s Vulnerability Review, with the examples of best practice and areas for improvement in hand, this is now very much ‘over to you’ in terms of taking appropriate actions to improve outcomes for all vulnerable customers.
