Money Advice Trust wins Debt Advice Provider of the Year
The Money Advice Trust, the charity that runs National Debtline and Business Debtline has won Debt Advice Provider of the Year at this year’s Credit Awards.

In a ceremony held on Tuesday 18th June 2024 and hosted by Credit Strategy, the win recognised the achievements of the charity in its work helping people and small business to tackle their debts.
In 2023 the charity:
- Helped 127,390 individuals and small business owners with their debts and to deal with their financial situation.
- Had more than 2.38m visits to its debt advice websites.
- Launched an integrated casework service, offering clients access to telephone casework through Citizens Advice and Mental Health UK’s Mental Health and Money Advice service.
- Delivered training to 6,000 staff in 70 creditor organisations to improve support for customers in vulnerable circumstances.
As a result of advice from the charity:
- 9 in 10 National Debtline and Business Debtline clients were clear on their next steps.
- 9 in 10 National Debtline clients knew which debts to prioritise
- 9 in 10 Business Debtline clients made contact with their creditors
- 8 in 10 clients saw their debts reduce or stabilise.
